HECTOR School of Engineering and Management Supports Sustainability with Eco-Friendly Bags Made from Recycled Marketing Materials

Karlsruhe, June 22nd, 2023: HECTOR School of Engineering and Management has always been committed to sustainability and equality. Now, the Technology Business School is taking these values to the next level by creating new bags for its alumni using recycled marketing materials like banners, flags, and roll-ups. These unique bags are not only eco-friendly, but they also provide meaningful employment opportunities for disabled artisans who craft them.

In addition to showing HECTOR School’s commitment to sustainability, these recycled bags represent a connection between us and our alumni. Each bag is unique, making them a powerful symbol of the knowledge and experience gained from their time at HECTOR School of Engineering and Management, as well as a reminder of the importance of lifelong learning.

These stylish bags are made by people with disabilities at Lebenshilfe Bruchsal e.V., a sheltered workshop. Their workers also get their own bags out of supplied material in addition to those they upcycle as a service. A great combination of eco and social aspects.

The bags will be distributed to alumni during a tombola at the upcoming homecoming event of the HECTOR School. The event promises to be a day filled with fun, nostalgia, and connection. The homecoming event provides an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with old friends, faculty, and staff. It’s a time to celebrate their achievements, reminisce about the past, and look toward the future.

The HECTOR School of Engineering and Management is committed to promoting sustainability in all areas of its operations, and the bags are just one part of this effort. The university is also rethinking its marketing strategies to be more eco-friendly in the future, and is exploring new ways to reduce waste and promote sustainable practices across campus.

„It is a very important to support sustainability and promote eco-friendly practices at HECTOR School of Engineering and Management,“ said Nico Jäckel, Head of Sales and Marketing. „By creating these unique bags from recycled materials, we are not only reducing waste, but we are also promoting a connection between our alumni and our institution. We hope that these bags will serve as a reminder of the importance of sustainability and the power of education to create positive change in the world.“
